Martinsville Madness

It was a day in Martinsville that will be hard to forget. It was a clear day at the track but once the cars hit the track it was stormy weather everyplace in every turn. There were a record 18 yellow flag laps and if you were one of the lucky few you would survive to get a respectable finish. Todd Caldwell driver of the # 58 Clorox/Pepsi Chevy Monte Carlo qualified with a speed of 92.344 M.P.H. which would prove vital in staying out of trouble. The most positive thing about todays race was that the number 1 qualifier, also led all but 7 laps and finished ahead of the rest of the field to secure his first victory of the 2007 season. Doug Caldwell driver of the #66 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet had a solid qualification run followed by a solid finish of 12th place in the race after leading 5 laps. Gary Caldwell driver of the # 82 Oakley Monte Carlo had a decent qualification but problems out of his control and a ill handling car made his day long. He finished -3 laps down in 26th place to place him in the top 35 in points.
