Las Vegas Motor Speedway well we asked Doug Caldwell the #66 driver of the Wrigleys car what his thoughts were on the race, and this is what he had to say" I had a car that I felt could have been atleast a top ten car I had stayed in the middle of the pack most of the race and was getting ready to make a move to try and get to the front when teammate Todd Caldwell #58 slid up into me and put me into the wall which inadvertantly ended my day. I am not mad at Todd just a little confused as to why he needed to race me that hard and jeopardize both our race but I guess that is the competitveness in him. But he needs to realize that I am trying to get 13th spot just like he wants 1st .There is always next week. I guess that is behind us and Todd did say that he fealt bad for eneding my day.
Gary Caldwell driver of the #82 Pepsi Chevy said it was a fun race but it seemed many drivers couldn't get their cars tuned to the track. I had some bad luck during the race and somehow I still found it to be a fun race. The track is built to race but it will take a couple of times coming here to get the set-ups right. I haven't had the best luck this year but next year will be a different story.
Todd Caldwell Initially declined comment but after a few minutes issued this statement. “I want to apologize to Doug’s team and mine. Both teams deserved a better finish and I got too impatient and ruined both of our cars.” “I was stuck behind Doug for a few laps and thought I had a faster car but couldn’t get by so I put my car into a bad position.”
